This afternoon, while sitting in my favorite chair-in-which-to-get-work-done, the sun beamed in through the picture window. Probably not an uncommon event for many of you on a March day, but here in Rochester, it was a treat. Gray is the predominant color of the sky right through March, at least most of the time. Today was no different… except for a couple of hours this afternoon when the sun shone brightly. It was a wonderfully uplifting time. You really don’t realize how much you miss the sun… until it re-appears.
If you’re aching for some sunshine, enjoy this week’s cover entry from Kelly Crull. His description of unspoiled Mediterranean beaches makes my mind wander. Sunshine, sand, surf… yeah, I’m ready to go now. Which is saying something, because I really do like winter. We’ll also delve into some literature with “After Shopping,” a short story from Tim Myers, and Jeremy Schneider is back with another entry in the “A Father’s Voice” column.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
-Ben
