[GAME REVIEW] Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Ghostbusters: The Video Game succeeds in the end by simply feeling right. Whether on 360, PS3 or Nintendo Wii, the game has enough of that Ghostbuster spirit from the movie to be forgiven it’s slightly derivative game play. Not quite Batman: Arkham Asylum but cut from the same cloth.

[GAME REVIEW] Is Fight Night Round 4 a Knockout?
Fight Night Round 4 on 360 and PS3 aims to provide realistic boxing action on the big consoles. The sequel to the popular Fight Night Round 3, it offers plenty of options and moments of boxing history for fans. But for me, it completely lacked the juxtaposition of beauty and brutality that so transfixes me when watching the real sport. It’s quite an enjoyable game against friends, but played alone it lacks heart and stymies progress.
[GAME REVIEW] A Boy and His Blob: A Classic Reborn?

A Boy and his Blob may sound like a rather unusual name for a game, but it represents an NES classic that rewrote the platform game handbook. A Boy and his Blob returns here on the Nintendo Wii console with a whole new bag of tricks, quite literally. The player has a bag of jelly beans…
[GAME REVIEW] Arkham Asylum: Become a True Believer
Republished with permission of gamepeople.co.uk game reviews. Happily taking hits from my dislike for superheroes and stealth, Batman: Arkham Asylum completely re-wrote my perceptions and gave me an astounding videogame experience that left me fascinated and enthralled. With its atmosphere […]

[GAME REVIEW] Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Can Brotherhood Be Digitized?
Dodging the usual clichés and tropes of the Western genre, I found Call of Juarez to be a thrilling ride of love, lust, and betrayal. It captured the look and feel of an 1860’s America perfectly, and the drama that unfolded through the story was surprisingly powerful.
[GAME REVIEW] Does Prototype Hit the Anti-hero Mark?
Telling the story of Alex Mercer, Prototype caught my eye with its repulsive anti-hero and gratuitous violence. But instead of experiencing a gritty and fascinating super-hero tale that had something meaningful to say, the game concentrated on physical violence and an excess of super powers.
[GAMING] inFAMOUS Review
Telling a deep and involving story in a videogame can be a tough ask at the best of times. Telling one in an open-world environment is even harder, and Infamous struggles to make use of its well-realised world and falls short of its potential. Although the core game mechanics and platforming aspects are fun…
[GAMING] PURE Review
Sitting comfortably alongside the likes of Motorstorm and Burnout Paradise, Pure is an arcade racer that’s full of spectacular fun and thrills. The unique trick system gave me endless hours of fun, and racing All Terrain Vehicles instead of the motor vehicles was a refreshing change.
