Alan Wake Rating: T Platform: Xbox 360 Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios Alan Wake, despite its technical prowess, still feels half-a-decade old. [REVIEW] Toy Story 3 + Anything = Awesome, But What About Yahtzee?

By Anhtuan Doventry • Jun 24th, 2010 • Category: Entertainment

The biggest thing going on at our house right now is Toy Story 3. My son turned six last week, and it has been Toy Story mania. After a weekend of the 3D movie, toys, books, and a Toy Story Lego themed birthday, Yahtzee Jr for Toy Story 3 showed up on our door step. Within the hour, we sat down to play the game. Let me preface that this is my first encounter with Yahtzee. I’ve always known it was a dice game, but never knew the intricacies of the rules. My wife and Wikipedia.org filled me in on the original version for a frame of reference.

By Rick Vandermeulen • Jun 10th, 2010 • Category: Lifestyle

Hey, I’m a guy. Therefore, I have this habit of putting things, (wallet, keys, phone, business card case, pocketknife, etc.) down, somewhere, there, or was it there? Out on the town, I have reached for the phone, only to be reminded it is safely charging in a kitchen outlet! I have looked at valets in [...]

[REVIEW] Better Be Prepared for Marks of Cain

By Anhtuan Doventry • May 18th, 2010 • Category: Entertainment

Be prepared, just not in a bad way. That’s my advice to any reader picking up Marks of Cain by Tom Knox. In his book, Knox’s three main characters are terrorized and chased throughout Europe and Africa by a secret society trying to keep them from learning the truth. He splits the adventure into two [...]

[REVIEW] The Go Anywhere Pelican i1015 iPhone Case

By Gabe Stampone • May 18th, 2010 • Category: Tech

I love my iPhone and I love to take it everywhere, but as I’m planning a canoe trip with the family taking it on the trip on water with kids is a little daunting.  Enter the Pelican i1015 iphone case, a water-resistant, dustproof, crushproof tank of a case.  It’s pretty bulky, and it certainly couldn’t [...]

Interview with an 11 Year Old: Review of Groovy Music City

By Ben Martin • Apr 11th, 2010 • Category: Tech

Several months ago, the fine folks at Avid sent a copy of Groovy Music City for us to review.  What is Groovy Music City?  According to the info they sent me, it’s “a software program that makes it fun for 7 to 12 year-olds to learn how to make music.”  Since I just happen to [...]
